The increasing presence of resistant microorganisms and their transmission through various routes, such as foodborne transmission, is a significant problem on a global scale.
In this project, we propose evaluating the effectiveness of an educational intervention to reduce the presence of Salmonella and antibiotic-resistant Salmonella in the retail chicken meat market in Bolivia, Ghana, Guatemala, and Nepal. For that, we propose measuring baseline knowledge, attitudes, and practices (KAP) related to food safety, antimicrobial resistance, considering the One Health approach among vendors through a validated questionnaire.
